What is the Story of Zümrüdüanka Turkish TV Drama?
The story of Zümrüdüanka is about the immortal love between Zümrüt Kuloğlu (Ceren Yılmaz) and Serhat Demirkan (Alp Navruz). These two characters also comprise the leading roles of the series.
Zümrüt (played by Ceren Yılmaz) lives with her mother and two other sisters in the most bankrupt neighborhood in Nevşehir. In the meantime, one of the most iconic touristic points of Turkey, Nevşehir, is the filming location of the series.
Zümrüt, on the other hand, is working in a factory as a paid worker that belongs to the Demirkıran family. The family, by the way, is one of the most powerful families of central Turkey. Unlike Zümrüt, her mother Ülfet (played by Hatice Aslan) always complains about their poor conditions in terms of living quality. Because of that, she desires to get her daughters married to a rich man and getting rid off poverty.
The Struggle of Zümrüt Against Her Mother
Zümrüt, on the one hand, tries to cope with her mother’s pressures. But on the other hand, she tries to hide the marriage proposal of Adil Bey (Umut Karadağ). He is one of the heirs of the Demirkan family through his mother. However, Ülfet will learn this and then, she will apply a thousand kinds of games to put his daughter on the wedding table. However, Zümrüt will resist despite everything, anyways. Because there is a secret that burns her heart. Zümrüt is in love with Serhat, the grandson of Demirkans who died in Syria during the involvement of the Turkish special military forces. And sadly, this love turned to ash. So, these ashes, later on, will resurrect the eternal love of the duo one way or another.

Selim Bayraktar (acted as Abbas Demirkan) is the oldest member of the Demirkan family and moreover, he is the head of the family business. Abbas, who is an independent man, is the father of two. He can’t get along with his younger brother Adil. And he indeed grew up without love. Therefore, Abbas became a ruthless, cold, distant, and arrogant person.
Azimet Demirkan (played by Ayten Uncuoğlu) is the powerful woman of Demirkan family and the mother of them, too. She is an unassailable woman. Azimet is the only one who is capable to hold family all together. And so, she does everything that she is capable of realizing her aim. Her biggest pain is her son who passed away in the war in Syria. That’s the reason why she does everything she can for Serhat.

Una storia assurda. Tutti cattivi e nessuno si accorge di nulla. Alcuni attori sino pessimi. La madre du Zumrut ad esempio: pessima interpretazione ed inoltre ha una voce bruttissima.
Sembra una storia del Medioevo . Non capisco perché ancora oggi debbano rappresentare storie in cui le persone anche a 40 anni devono sottostare agli anziani (malvagli, retrogradi, etc.).
