Turkish crime drama “Aleph” (Alef in Turkish) has recently taken the stage in front of its anticipated audiences. The crime and detective series consists of very talented all-star actors and actresses. It will be enough to name only the leading roles to prove how talented its cast is. Leading roles are being shared by Kenan Imirzalioglu, Ahmet Mumtaz Taylan, and Melisa Sozen. But, in addition to the leading roles, the set crew is also brilliant. While the award-winning director Emin Alper sits on the director’s seat, the producer of the series is May Production.

“Aleph” is an extraordinary crime series that consists of 8 episodes. So, the series set to premiere on FX Turkey and BluTV. Before diving into the details, you are enough to know that the show tells the story of two detectives as they investigate a set of murders.

What is the Story of Aleph (Alef)?

Shot in Istanbul, the Turkish crime drama Aleph begins with the discovery of a dead body in Istanbul’s Bosphorus. The plot follows a young and ambitious police detective Kemal (played by Kenan Imirzalioglu) and his veteran and professional partner Settar (played by Ahmet Mumtaz Taylan) in their pursuit of a serial killer. Yasar (played by Melisa Sozen), on the other hand, is a university lecturer. She joins the duo in their search through history for secret cults and symbols.

As the series progresses, the team will unveil a mystery that has remained a secret for centuries. Furthermore, one way or another, the team reveals the killer’s true intention. Set in the present-day, Sufi elements elevates the story and brings together a highly anticipated cast.

Aleph is the first-ever collaboration between FX and BluTV. Therefore and more, it has been generating a large press and fan attention in Turkey. FX Turkey brings world-famous series like The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, and The Simpsons to Pay TV viewers. And BluTV is a leading digital platform carrying acclaimed local series such as Bozkır (The Steppe), Masum (Innocent), and 7Yüz (7Faces). Produced by MAY Production, Aleph is set to premiere on FX and BluTV in April 2020.

The genre of the series is Action, Crime, Drama, and Mystery. According to the IMDb’s records, the score of the series, which is determined by the user’s votes from all around the world, is 8.6. So, the series started streaming on Blu TV on the 10th of April and now everyone is curious whether there will be another season or not.

Aleph — Alef Turkish crime drama shows up several scenes related to Ottoman and Islam history. So, what so curious is that the growing interest in Ottoman and Islam culture.
