New Period on Turkish Televisions After Covid-19: Which Turkish Series Will Return to Screen?

Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has inevitably affected everyone’s life. So unsurprisingly, it also affected the television industry and the series and dramas. 1- Kuruluş Osman – Establishment Osman (or “The Ottoman”) kept airing new episodes even during the COVID-19 conditions. The series gave a break last month and most probably will return screens in September.

2- Zalim İstanbul – Ruthless City broadcasted its last episode on the 15th of June, on Monday, and made the final. When it came to Covid-19, they immediately stopped shooting. Later, it became one of the series that gathered the team again in the fastest way.

3- Arka Sokaklar – Back Streets continued to shoot with masks and precautions. The series finished the season and made the season finale on Friday, June 12th. The series does not end again, anyway :)

Arka Sokaklar – Back Streets Turkish detective series, by the way, is the longest Turkish TV series throughout the history of Turkish television. The series has been on Kanal D screens for 14 years (since 2006), 14 seasons, and 538 episodes. It seems that it will never say goodbye! :)

4- Sefirin Kızı – Ambassador’s Daughter, didn’t say, “Come on, that’s enough, consider it as our final episode,” as many other Turkish series did. Having started on Monday, June 15, it started publishing 4 new episodes. Then the series made the season finale.

Thus, the series Sefirin Kızı – Ambassador’s Daughter complied with the new period on Turkish televisions after the COVID-19 pandemic.

5- Kuzey Yıldızı “İlk Aşk” – Northern Star “The First Love” has already started! The series meets the audience every Saturday.

6- Hekimoğlu Turkish TV series did not make a final and decided to continue in the summer. There will soon be a new episode.

The production company was one of the first companies to stop shooting immediately with the outbreak. They also supported the awareness project of the Ministry of Health.

7- We are excited to wait for the Mucize Doktor – Miracle Doctor. They may come back in August without waiting for September.

The release date is not yet clear.

8- Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir – My Home is also making a surprise. They were actually closing the doors and gone, but they will come together for a season finale episode.

However, we have no information about when the episode will be broadcasted.

9- The first teaser of Bay Yanlış – Mr. Wrong, one of the most ambitious Turkish romantic comedy of the summer, came. Moreover, producers announced the broadcasting date. Can Yaman and Özge Gürel’s series began on Friday, June 26.

10- Gençliğim Eyvah – My Youth has a great casting. It is fun and we will keep getting enough of acting. The series started on Monday, June 15th.

11- The first presentation of Sen Çal Kapımı – You Knock on My Door came. The romantic comedy of Hande Erçel and Kerem Bursin began on Wednesday, July 1.

“Mr. Wrong” got the Friday. On Thursdays, on the other hand, “The Miracle Doctor” is expected to be released.

12- The last series on our list, Çatı Katı Aşk – Attic Love, is one of the favorite series of the summer. The first teaser of the series where we will see the Yeşilçam breezes was published. We started watching the first episode on Thursday, July 9.

13- Plus: Yeni Hayat – New Life was going to be released in the past months. But when Covid-19 came into our lives at once, they put the parts they shot in their pockets and took a break from the set. They will start broadcasting soon.
