Netflix has made a great debut with its brand-new Turkish original film In Good Hands (Turkish original Sen Yaşamaya Bak). The 105-minute-long romantic comedy or we can also classify it as a melodrama has already been the second most-watched foreign-language film on Netflix.
Starring Aslı Enver and Kaan Urgancıoğlu, “Sen Yaşamaya Bak” (In Good Hands) became one of the most-watched movies on Netflix in its second week. The movie reached 10 million 810 thousand hours of watching time in total last week (March 28-April 3). Thus, it has become the 3rd on Netflix’s “Non-English Language Films” list.
The master Turkish actor Kaan Urgancıoğlu was also the lead role in another Netflix’s Turkish original Aşk 101 (Love 101). As you may recall, the series had gone incredibly sensational due to its gay character. Even, for some weeks, it was discussed for the series to be censored.

According to Ranini TV, the movie, which was broadcast on March 21, was watched for 28 million 930 thousand hours last week. And thus, it entered Netflix’s “Movies in Non-English Language” list in the 2nd place. What’s more, the total number of views of the movie reached 39 million 740 thousand hours and approached 40 million.

The Story of In Good Hands (Sen Yaşamaya Bak)
In Good Hands tells the story of Melisa. She is a single mother who lives with her only son Can, who suddenly finds out about her terminal illness. What’s worst, Melisa only has five months to live. Melisa confesses that this news does not affect her as she lives to the life fullest for her. However, the only thought she worries about is what will happen to her beloved son Can when she is no more around.
So, Melisa starts chasing the idea of finding someone whom she can both love and entrust her apple of the eye.
Journey Between the Past and Present
Can is Melisa’s apple of the eye. They, the mother and the son, both share a unique bond. And so, both are like their own friends rather than becoming the mother and the son. So, Melisa decides to look for help from Firat, who is, by the way, an attractive young businessman. The only thing that Melisa worries about is making sure about Can’s parenting.
Nevertheless, after the entry of Firat into the lives of Can and Melisa, some old stories of their past resurface in their life. And those facts turn their lives upside down.
