What was The Story of Kadın – Woman About?
Kadın – Woman is a drama show about a woman’s struggle of life. Bahar Çeşmeli (Özge Özpirinççi) lost her husband in a mysterious sea accident. She, later on, had to look after her two children. Life has been very hard for Bahar, and every day she fights to survive. However, the economic situation of Bahar got worse and worse day by day. One day she was convinced by her friends to take government aid. However, she couldn’t fill the requirements for the aid. Suddenly one day her mother appears and tries to help Bahar. Nonetheless, her mother was the last person on earth she wanted to seek help from. Though upon doing so Bahar learns the shocking truth about her husband’s death and she blames her mother about the death of him.
On the other hand, Bahar has a sister but she tries to keep her away from her life, anyway. But, unfortunately, Bahar’s husband Sarp Çeşmeli (Caner Cindoruk) had the last attempt to bring them back together. The thing is that Bahar’s sister was pure evil and the ship accident was her fault. Unsurprisingly, it was a result of blind-eye jealousy.

Kadın – Woman Tv series was the remake of the Japanese TV series. The original one was “Woman – My Life For My Children“. The original series was so successful in Japan, so Turkish TV producers wanted to remake the series. No matter how Turkish television industry is very productive, they are open to bringing worldwide popular series to Turkey, anyway. The Turkish version of Woman – Kadın started in 2017. And shortly after, it became such a successful project that it just won a prize in Tokyo Drama Awards, Japan in October 2017.
