The world-famous American pop singer Halsey is expecting a baby!
As you will recall, last year in October, we had shared a post asking Halsey’s Turkish roots. Or, whether she has Turkish roots or not. Her Twitter post in Turkish back then cluttered the social media. Moreover, caused huge excitement among her Turkish fans and followers.
Now in Turkey, the new Halsey chapter is being opened as Halsey is expecting a baby from her Turkish beau: Alev Aydın. So, since Halsey has announced her pregnancy on her Instagram account with pictures of her growing belly, everyone cries loud to learn who Alev Aydın is. So, let’s ask one again altogether and try to answer the question: Who is Alev Aydın?
Singer-Screenwriter Pair: Halsey and Alev Aydın
Halsey and her screenwriter beau set off a new chapter in their relationship.
The American singer, born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, 26, aka Halsey has announced that she is expecting a baby. So, that’s right! The world-famous singer is pregnant with her first child. As for the dad of the baby-to-be, he is a Turkish screenwriter Alev Aydin, 37.
How Long Have Alev Aydın and Halsey Been Together?
Though the pair have kept their relationship in secret, as far as we know “they have been dating for several months”.
Halsey has been low-key about their relationship. They were spending a lot of time at her house in the fall though. And it was obvious that she was happy.

They were, however, first pictured together in 2019, attending a Lakers basketball game.
Aydin shared a photo of the pair sat courtside in a throwback post in March 2019; the game took place that January.
In June 2020: The Couple Got Matching Tattoos
The two got tattoos!
Back in June, the singer-screenwriter pair got matching tattoos on their feet of the word “Seeds.” Aydin got the tattoo on the top of his foot while Halsey placed hers near her heel.

It’s unclear what the word means to the couple. However, one fan had then noticed that the week they got their tattoo was “cosmically the best week to plant a seed.”
Who is Alev Aydin?
We don’t know precisely where the screenwriter, 37, was born. But he has previously shared details about his Turkish roots on social media. Yet, we know well enough that in his childhood period, the Turkish screenwriter spent time in Saudi Arabia, New York, and Antalya.
He has posted many images taken in Istanbul over the years, referring to the country as “the motherland” and “the homeland”.
Halsey has even posted messages to Aydin in Turkish.
Alev Aydin’s Splendid Career on TV and Cinema
Aydin has a number of credits to his name on the industry database IMDb. He has those credits most notably as the creator and executive producer of Small Shots. It is a 2017 mini-series about two actors trying to break into Hollywood. The mini-series is available on Netflix US.
He is also credited as the writer, director, and producer of HipMen: Los Angeles. It is a 2017 short film about “a team of stylish hitmen who are hired to kill a big-shot music producer”.
His most recent listed work is as an actor in the 2018 thriller Cruel Hearts.
He also made several appearances on the popular soap opera General Hospital between 2008 and 2010.
So, what we have in hand about him?
Alev Aydın is of Turkish descent, who lives in the US.
He is Turkish, as it is clear, and he is a promising screenwriter.
He, what’s more, has done several successful works in the US, including a Netflix TV show called Small Shoots.
A Basketball Lover and an Outspeaker!
Alev Aydın loves basketball, just like his beau Halsey. On his own Twitter, Aydin often shares basketball videos and memes. Meanwhile, back in August, he shared a photo of himself rocking a Lakers jersey as a child. (Halsey is a fan of the L.A. team too!)
He is Outspoken About Racial Injustice
As protests started across the country following the police killing of George Floyd, Aydin has never hesitated to state about issues of police brutality and racial injustice.
“Aside from the orgs listed (tagged) here, there are others also in need of every dollar in their efforts to undo centuries-old systems that have dismantled Black communities for generations and disenfranchised so many,” he wrote on June 2, sharing a list of organizations aimed at fighting racial injustice. “Police PACs have used their money for decades to wield an ungodly and egregious amount of influence in the political space, which is why (among a long history of the perpetual atrocity at the hands of police) the entire country burns as the leadership in MN refuses to arrest the three other officers involved in George Floyd’s murder.”
“Please use your money in aid of these organizations and help them fight this fight. Help them win,” he added. “Please share this with others, and add to the list. And as always, F— Donald Trump.”
What is Alev Aydin’s Zodiac Sign?
Pisces + Libra = “a match made in heaven!”
Born on March 17, Aydin is a Pisces making him “extremely compatible” with Halsey’s sign Libra. (Halsey is really into astrology and even has a tattoo of her sign.)
“A Pisces and a Libra are both loyal to their friends and family, and will often go to extreme lengths to make sure they keep their loyalty intact,” according to Elite Daily. “They’re often amiable to other people’s schedules, time frames, and availability. ”
“I’m a libra and so is Lil Wayne and that’s all you’ll ever need to know about me,” she tweeted back in 2014.
What We Say for The Couple…
So, what we say after all is that we congratulate the lovely couple. As a reminder, Hungarian-born American singer Halsey is expecting a baby. Thus, we wish her a happy and healthy pregnancy.
Remember that she had revealed she had suffered a miscarriage in 2018. She had told The Guardian in 2020: “It was the most inadequate I’ve ever felt. Here I am achieving this out-of-control life, and I can’t do the one thing I’m biologically put on this Earth to do.”
Hopefully, this will not happen again and she will give life to the mini-human inside of her!
