Moreover, you can take a long walk in the jungle. You can enjoy the amazing view of the lake. In private areas, you can set a fire and make a barbecue. And most importantly, with a bottle of fine, you can make this short trip even more unforgettable…

Golcuk Nature Park: Another Heaven on Earth in Turkey
Among many nature parks in Turkey, the one in Bolu’s Golcuk district is another magical one. The nature park has incredible beauty and what’s more, it is perfectly well-preserved. It is an artificially built lake in 13 kilometers south of Bolu city center. The surface of the lake, which is 1217 meters high, is 4.5 hectares. Furthermore, its circumference is approximately 1300 meters. Pine, fir, beech, hornbeam, and mixed species of trees surround the lake. And so, it has a magnificent view in all seasons.

A Perfect Spot for the Weekend
The extraordinary beauty of nature also surrounds the area. On the edge of the lake, there is a cute building that is the “State Guesthouse” of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Apart from this facility, there is a restaurant, country restaurant, cafeteria, buffet, masjid, and bungalow type accommodation facilities around the lake. The lake and its surroundings are under protection by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The reason for the protection is because it is a “Nature Park”. The environment of this very cute and small lake is not accessible by car. Therefore, if you desire to explore more the surrounding, you need to walk through the jungle, which is a perfect destination to do that.

Golcuk Nature Park and Its Value as a Touristic Point
Golcuk Nature Park is one of the most important touristic centers of Bolu. Visitors flood to the lake to visit, see, relax, take photos, sport angling, a bicycle tour, and picnic at certain times of the year. Though it is much easier to reach the park, it is better to go there at these times of the year as there are fewer people and visitors.
