“Fatma”: The Brand New Turkish Thriller on Netflix Starts on April, 27

Netflix Turkey has recently announced the new Turkish original series on Netflix: “Fatma”. As time goes by, the number of Turkish originals on Netflix has been steadily increasing. So, this new one, with Burcu Biricik as the leading role, who is one of the most popular Turkish actresses recently, draws great attention.

As Netflix advertises, Fatma is a suspenseful and emotional thriller that is going to meet the audience on April, 27, on Tuesday. So, next Tuesday, we will all set up in front of our TVs and ease our curiosity.

Netflix Turkey Announced New Turkish Originals in March

In this program, Netflix stated that they will shoot the third season of Atiye (The Gift, the phenomenon Turkish drama on Netflix). They also announced that new series such as Şimdiki Aklım Olsaydı (If I Had My Current Mind), Fatma and Sıcak Kafa (Hot Head) will also start. However, due to the controversy about the TV series “If I Had My Current Mind” recently, they made a cancellation decision.

According to the gossips, the reason for the controversy over “Şimdiki Aklım Olsaydı” was because of homosexual characters in the series. It had also happened in Aşk 101 (Love 101) series, another Turkish original on Netflix. Fortunately, Netflix will not come to a decision to drop out of Turkey.

When did the Filming of “Fatma” Start?

Netflix’s producers were planning to start shooting Fatma as of May. However, the filming started on July 16, last year. By the way, the producer of the new Turkish original on Netflix is Başak Abacıgil.

And following Netflix’s tweet, it became obvious that Burcu Biricik is the leading role. In the series, she is going to act as a 35-year-old maid who is searching for his husband. In the meantime, she finds herself in the middle of murder cases.

What is the Cast of “Fatma”?

In the leading roles of the psychological drama, Uğur Yücel, Mehmet Yılmaz Ak, Hazal Türesan, Olgun Toker, Gülçin Kültür Şahin, Deniz Hamzaoğlu and Çağdaş Onur Öztürk take the roles along with Burcu Biricik.

It is not confirmed yet, but Cansu Dere may also play in the series.

What is the Story of Fatma?

Then, after all these informations, you may wanna as the story of the series. And you have every right to do so. Then, Fatma (35) is an ordinary maid. Her husband Zafer disappears shortly after he is released from prison. Meanwhile, Fatma, who sets out to search for him, commits an unexpected murder. With Zafer’s dark connections learning about this murder, Fatma has no choice but to keep killing in order to survive.

Later, this situation becomes a ritual for Fatma, where she can take revenge for everything she has experienced until today.
